Today I made these fern leaves from my lego box. It is all coming together and by this weekend, the whole bouquet will be complete. I have already looked for a vase that I can put these flowers once done. The best part of these lego structures are that they can be washed. My mother does not want to leave it out for too long after she makes it because she is worried it may gather too much dust. It is very true especially in my home town, the dust accumulation is a worry. But i reassured her that these could be washed and she need not worry. Hopefully she will keep them out.

What are your plans for the weekend? We have been looking to buy a car and we hope to get one over this weekend if we can finish all the paperwork on time. Though it is not a brand new car ( because it is too expensive), we are very excited to feel more flexible and drive around to explore the places nearby.

We come from a christian background. Appu and I would like to foster those values that our parents brought us up in when we were kids. I read this book to my girls this morning after breakfast. It talks about how you can see the presence of Jesus in the stories from the bible.

How important is it be bring your kids up in religious believes and values? Have you thought of the benefits that they may have in life?

Growing kids in a religious background can provide them with a strong foundation of values and beliefs. Here are some key aspects to consider when raising children in a religious environment:

1. Education: Teach children about the principles and practices of your religion. This could include sharing religious stories, attending religious services, and enrolling them in religious education programs. Encourage them to ask questions and foster their curiosity about spirituality.

2. Morality and ethics: Religion often promotes a set of moral and ethical values that help guide individuals in making good choices. Teach your children these values and encourage them to apply them in their daily lives.

3. Rituals and practices: Engage children in religious rituals, such as prayer, meditation, or attending religious holidays and festivals. These practices can foster a sense of community, belonging, and spiritual connection.

4. Role models: Introduce your children to individuals who exemplify the positive aspects of your religion. This could include religious leaders, community members, or inspirational figures from within your faith.

5. Critical thinking: Encourage your children to think critically and ask questions regarding their religious beliefs. This can foster a deeper understanding and ownership of their faith, rather than blindly following religious practices without comprehension.

6. Tolerance and respect: Teach children to respect people of different faiths and beliefs. Encourage open-mindedness and promote tolerance towards diverse religious perspectives. This can help children develop empathy, understanding, and acceptance.

7. Personal connection: Help children develop a personal relationship with their faith. Encourage them to explore their spirituality and develop their own understanding of their religious beliefs. This will enable them to have a deeper connection and engagement with their religion.

It is important to note that while growing kids in a religious background can have its benefits, it is essential to provide an environment that nurtures their intellectual growth and encourages them to think critically about their beliefs.

Wishing you a happy weekend.

Love

Ammu
