Day 50/366

Unfortunately my intuitions were right. I did feel that my younger one wasn't herself since yesterday evening and rightly so, she did not sleep well at night and had slight cough that kept her from sleeping all night. She woke up exhausted and so we decided to keep her at home today. Nevertheless, she had to come with me to drop my older one at school as Appu could not stay back at home as he had some meetings he needed to be at the office. I felt bad for her but she was quite happy to come along. After dropping my older one at school, we got into the nearby store to get bread and milk. My younger one asked if she could get something for herself. I wanted to cheer her up a bit and so I agreed. She happily picked up a box of 4 chocolate donuts. She said she would share it with her sister too once she is back from school. This little one is a kind hearted soul. Bless her!

After coming back home, she helped me water the plants that I have been growing inside our apartment and then she had her doughnut. I have decided to do some excercise after dropping the kids at school rather than going for a walk. I had been doing weight training when I was in Brunei but not started it here so I decided I needed to. My younger one played with her toys while I finished my workout. After my post workout drink (picture above) I decided to take a quick shower and put my younger one to sleep as she was tired by then. But she wanted me to read her books before she went to sleep. We read 2 books of her choice and then she asked me to lie down with her. I fell asleep too but thankfully woke up in 30 mins. I was a bit worried I would over sleep and be late to pick my older one from school. I had my lunch and waited for my younger one to wake up but she seemed to be really exhausted. I unfortunately had to wake her up as I couldn't leave her alone at home when I go to school for pick up. She had a quick lunch and then we walked together to school. She wasn't her usual self but was excited to pick her sister from school and more importantly give her the doughnut she had bought this morning.

The girls chatted for a while and watched television for some time. I then made dinner and by then Appu got home too. The girls had their dinner (picture above) , did their bedtime routine and then went to bed. My younger one doesn't seem to be fully recovered and so we may not send her to school tomorrow too. Will see how the night goes and then decide. Appu was busy with work and reading up on the papers related to buying the house and mortgage, so I sat for some time watching something on YouTube and then went to bed.
