Day 2/366

I have been into intermittent fasting (17:7) lately. The internet is going crazy over it and I have tried it before and got the results I had wanted back then. Obviously fasting alone wont help, some form of exercise also needs to be done. For those of my dear readers who do not know about intermittent fasting, here is what I know.
Intermittent fasting, a popular health trend, involves cycling between periods of eating and fasting, dictating when to eat rather than what to eat.The most common approach is the 16/8 method, where individuals fast for 16 hours and have an eating window of 8 hours, promoting a natural circadian rhythm alignment. During the fasting period, the body taps into stored energy reserves, leading to potential benefits such as weight loss and improved metabolic health.
Disclaimer:While intermittent fasting may offer health advantages, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional before adopting any fasting regimen, as individual needs and health conditions vary.
So coming back to what I follow at the moment, my last meal for the day is at 7 pm and then the next day morning once I wake up, I have my lemon and green tea drink. My first meal is around 12pm which usually is my lunch. It definitely takes some time to get your body used to it but once you are in the flow, the body adapts to the new schedule. Today I started my day with this amazing Berry- cereal yogurt bowl. All you need for this is
half a cup yogurt ( I used greek yogurt)
half a cup of your favourite cereal (I used this https://amzn.to/3TGVKYP)
hand full of your favourite berries
Mix them up in a bowl and you have the perfect snack or meal packed with nutrients. It's just amazing how small things that you may already have in your kitchen can make up healthy and nutritious meals. Try this one out or let me know if you have any recipes of your own you would like to share.
My day otherwise has been just normal as it was raining almost throughout the day and to take my girls out in this weather alone was going to be a huge task. So I put my feet up, watched a movie on television with my girls and enjoyed some ice lemon tea. Despite the inevitable challenges, the laughter, hugs, and shared moments of triumph make "mom life" a cherished and irreplaceable chapter in a woman's journey.
Hope you had a good day too
Love
Ammu
