Day 20/366

Hope you are keeping well my dear reader. Thank you for being with on my journey so far. There have been so many milestones since we landed in UK over a month ago and it has had it's own ups and downs. My girls have been so understanding and kind though they have had their fair share of struggles too. This is where the phase, "this too shall pass" comes in as a reminder. You just need to be patient and trust in the process and trust that He will not burden you with a load that He thinks you cannot handle. Everything happens for a reason. Sorry for all the philosophy but I have had to deal with myself through this journey of mine and it has been very very difficult. So I hope if any of my dear readers are going through anything close to what I'm going through at the moment, please don't worry, Trust the process and "THIS TOO SHALL PASS". It was my mother who told me this the first time i was struggling with something personally.

So coming back to what we did today, after a quick breakfast (girls wanted pancakes today), we left home at 8.45am for house viewing. The first one was at 9.30 am and the drive to the place took us about 25 mins. As I had mentioned before, the place was beautiful and the country side has a totally different feel to it. We had a couple more houses we had planned to view and after we finished the 4th house, we went to have lunch in a nearby pub. ``the girls had chicken n sausages with mash/fries, Appu had fish n chips and I had beef burger. Everything was delicious and once our tummies were full, we went to see the final house for the day. I must say, we were all very tired but we definitely needed to finish viewing as many houses as possible as we had a timeline to be moving out of our current temporary accomodation. So once that was done, we went into the town (the picture above is from the city centre) to try and find the rest of the girls school uniform items. After going into about 5 shops, we finally found the rest of it and the girls wanted to eat and drink something so we took a small break. It was past 4 pm by then and was slowly starting to get dark, so after we finished our shopping, we drove back home.

Once we got home (around 5.45 pm), the next most important decision to be made was, "what do we eat for dinner?". Appu said he will buy subway for all of us. But my younger one wanted to make her own sub-sandwich so she and I decided to go to the nearby supermarket and get some things to make her sub-sandwich. I had some marinated chicken in the fridge so bought the rest and got back home while Appu and my older one bought subway sandwiches for him and me. We watched some kids movie on television followed by some Malayalam movie too, after which the girls went to bed. Appu and I discussed about the houses we had seen over the 2 days and what we think of them. It definitely is a very challenging decision as this is going to be our home for a very long time. We are praying and hoping for the best.

Hope your weekend has been going on well

Love

Ammu
