Day 21/366

Another Sunday and though we had a car by now, we decided to go by train as the parking space near our church isn't much and it would be a hassle to park the car after we get there. The girls were happy to go by train and then again by bus. I must say, these girls somewhere help keep my spirits high too. Especially on days were you feel completely low and miserable, just a hug or an "I love you Ammu" from them can change everything around so easily. No wonder our forefathers say that children are a blessing, they are angels that take the form of humans on earth. Anyways, so we left from home towards our train station and we hear a very loud music being placed by a vehicle. As we look behind to find out where the music was coming from, we see this grey bus coming from far, but the music was so loud that you could still hear it. It stopped at a bus stand ahead of us and a few men stepped out of the bus and started dancing to the music. It was a sight we have never seen before and kids stood there to watch what they were doing for a while. They were playing a very happy and lively music and not the annoying kind of loud music so everyone was enjoying it. The bus was named the 'Bass Buss' (picture above). Anyways we had a train to catch so we went on to the train station.
The girls attended their first Sunday bible classes and they were very happy to be with kids of their age and interact with them. After the lesson we headed home. We got a chance to meet and talk to many of the church members this week and it was slowly getting to feel like church back in our home country.

The girls had requested to have pizza at home for dinner so I had already made the pizza dough earlier. Like I had mentioned in my previous posts, the pizza sauce I make from boiled broccoli, cauliflower and tomato, mixed with some salt, pepper and mixed herbs. The girls love to eat just the sauce. They say its finger-licking good. LOL! My older one helped in covering the pizza base with the sauce and my younger one cover the pizza with cheese while she also kept eating some of the cheese of the plate. I wanted to have something else today. I craved for some Kerala cuisine so I made PUTTU and Kadala curry (picture below) for Appu and myself. It is usually eaten for breakfast but since we didn't have the time to make it and since i don't eat until 12pm on usually, I thought it didn't matter. Appu and I enjoyed our treat. I was very happy with my cooking today.

Is it true they say that 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach'? Well atleast for me, it not true as Appu is not a food enthusiast/critic and so he is just happy with anything I make. He reminds me of my dad.
So we had a very nice Sunday, our hearts and tummies are full.
How was yours?
Love
Ammu
