Day 30/366

Hard to believe that it's almost the end of the first month of the new year. How fast time flies. Appu was working from home today as they were delivering the air cargo in the morning. I went for a usual walk after dropping the girls. The men came around 11am. There were 2 of them. They unboxed all of our stuff and were done by around 12.15pm. Most of our stuff were intact but unfortunately our television was broken. There was a bend and a crack. The men who delivered it today said it was poorly packaged. They had wrapped it in bubble wrap but wrapped it only once which actually should have been atleast 10 times to securely protect the item. We are hoping to claim insurance but the sight of our television broken was saddening.

After the men left, Appu got both of us lunch and I slowly started sorting things as now our master bedroom was filled with things and it would be easier to sort it while the girls were in school than otherwise. Did most of what I could and then took a quick nap before going to pick the girls from school. On the return, we had to go to the supermarket as we needed to buy a few things for tonight's dinner. Today's dinner was on my older one's request. She wanted spaghetti bolognese. I did not get minced beef when I went to the nearby shop and thought it would be a good change to take the girls for a walk after picking them up from school. They knew exactly where to go. As we were walking back home I told them that the air cargo had arrived. They were excited to see some of there own stuff from Brunei finally arrive. They quickly went through a few stuff before their shower. Then sat down peacefully and looked at it all after shower and snacks. There was a sense of happiness and joy on their faces.

Dinner was made and the 3 of us had together as Appu was on a call and said he would be late. My older one helped herself twice to the spaghetti and this was prove enough that she really liked it. Girls happy, Ammu happy! After dinner they both went off to read their books. Since the younger one doesn't know to read, she requested that her sister reads her some books and the big sister obliged! What a joy to watch them sit together and spend some quality time.

After the girls went to bed, I did some reading and spoke to Appu about houses and the new ones that have come to the market. I think it will definitely take atleast 6-8 months before we can really feel settled. We decided to unwind and take our minds off a bit so watched a movie together for a while before going to bed.
