Day 31/366

Last day of January! One month has gone by really quick. The girls have completed 2 weeks at school and thankfully all is well so far. They are excited to go to school and play and learn new things. Appu is keeping busy at work actually stressed a bit too. Work pressure, especially because he is new here and compared to Brunei is high. Hopefully that will settle down slowly too. I'm at the moment just taking care of the house chores and the kids. Weekends are nice here as we get to spend some quality time together as a family and Sunday goes by in church. All in all there is just so much to be thankful for.

This morning's walk was exploring a different part if where I live. I have never walked that side but this morning I just wanted to take a different route for my walk. And boy, was i excited to see everything around. There was a beautiful garden and the walls of a nearby building had these antique-rustic art (first picture above) on it. Though I'm not an art person, something about these pictures caught my attention. Watched about 10 similar pictures before I walked around the garden and on my way back noticed a very big supermarket. I went in to get a few groceries and bought myself a mini pot of tiramisu too. Walked home happily for 2 reasons, 1 the joy of opening my tiramisu pot and 2 the excitement of having seen new places. You just need the will for it and anything is possible! Another day of workout done too!

Got home, had my tiramisu and made a few phone calls. Then got to clearing up some stuff from the air cargo that was delivered on Tuesday. Our temporary accommodation is tiny and we do not have the space to fit all the stuff that was delivered so the room still has some boxes lying around. A friend of Appu has kindly offered some space to store our stuff till we get a house to shift things into. After a quick nap, I went to pick the girls from school.

Once they are back from school, there is so much of energy in me otherwise mornings are quite dull as it's just me in this house the whole time. Just having someone around helps brighten your mood, need I say what happens when kids are around! Anyways so my older one and I started to work on the puzzle that we started yesterday. We finished the borders and now we started sorting the rest of the pieces to start making the rest. She surprised me with her resilience and concentration. I kept looking at the reference pictures so many times but she hardly looked at it more than twice but still was able to build the puzzle faster than me! Young brains I say! LOL!

The picture above is how far we have reached! Once the girls went to bed, Appu and I finished watching the movie we had started watching yesterday. I sat a lil longer to finish a bit more of the puzzle and then retired to bed.
