The temperature outside is slowly rising. It was 11 degrees this morning. Though the cold breeze doesn't make it feel any better, it is nice to know that winter is soon getting better and Spring will be here soon. Someone actually told me that this year the spring will hopefully come sooner that last year! Will wait to see how it goes.

My older one takes a snack to school everyday and the school requested that we try and stick to a fruit or a healthy snack. Today I send her grapes. I usually cut them into halves and put them into boxes, a practice that was necessary as a part of the school rules back in Brunei to avoid chocking hazard. Today when I cut the grapes, I saw there was a baby grape inside the big one (picture below). This is the first time I have seen one so thought I would share it with you too.

I did my usual morning walk after dropping the girls and got home. Caught up with a few of my friends from Brunei and back from school. I'm still in touch with a few of my schoolmates and it just brings back all the good memories of when we were kids. Probably because I was reminded a little too much of how it was when I was younger and with family and friends, I would myself very lonely and sad after all the phone calls. It was again just me in the house and no one around for the next couple of hours. Rest of my day till I went to pick the girls was very hard to pass. I watched Netflix and slept for most of the time. After picking the girls from school, we spoke to our folks back home. Whatsapp video calls have really brought the world closer and it is so easy to talk to our loved ones even when we are so far away. Girls love to talk to their grandparents and my younger one in particular likes to just keep talking and asking questions, some of which they may not even understand until I translate.

After dinner, the girls and I decided to try and finish the puzzle, and we did try and do a but but like I said before it is getting harder and my older one did try her best to solve some parts of the puzzle. I sat a bit longer and finally finished the rest of the puzzle!!! Hoorayyyyy!! Was definitely a huge accomplishment and the sense of achievement was high!
