"Today is a new day. Don't let the disappointments of yesterday hold you back from the possibilities of today." - Unknown
Relocating to a new place with children can present a unique set of challenges and adjustments.
1. Emotional impact: Moving to a new place can be emotionally challenging for children as they leave behind familiar surroundings, friends, and possibly even their school. They may experience a sense of loss, anxiety, and sadness.
2. Adjusting to a new environment: Children might find it difficult to adapt to a new neighborhood, school, and community. They may struggle to make new friends, become accustomed to different routines, and understand the cultural differences of their new location.
3. Educational transitions: Changing schools can be particularly challenging for children, as they have to adapt to a different curriculum, teaching methods, and social dynamics. It may take time for them to find their footing academically and socially in the new educational environment.
4. Loneliness and social isolation: For some children, relocating to a new place means leaving behind their support network. They may feel lonely or isolated, especially if they have not yet developed new friendships or connections in their new community.
5. Parental stress: Parents may also experience stress during the relocation process, which can indirectly affect their children. The pressure of settling into a new home.
So all of this is what we as a family are going through and so some days are definitely very hard to get through. Today was one such day. Safe to say we have survived and the kids have gone to bed but with lot of tantrums.
Any who, I started my day with this power packed mixed berries drink. Very simple to make yet very refreshing and energising. All you need is some fresh/frozen berries and water (i used sparkling water https://amzn.to/48DV9LE ). Add sweetener of choice or some ice before blending them together and Enjoy!

Later in the day, I wanted to engage the kids in some fun sensory activity so we decided to re-pot a rose plant (the girls bought me for my birthday) into 2 pots making more space for the plants to grow. They had so much fun feeling the soil and filling it up in their own pots. Further they helped me repot the rose plant and water it too. There was sunlight today , so it was a perfect day to plan the re-potting. They both made sure to wash their hands squeaky clean before diving into their much deserved snacks!
Dinner tonight was made on request of my older one. Since the time we have landed, she has been enjoying the pub food! Her favourite hands down has been the classic cheese burger. So tonight she requested I make her that for dinner. Well, i tried and safe to say madame approved! Phew!
We have had a day filled with lot of crying and tantrums but at the end, we are happy for what we have and like my kids say, "we kiss and make up".
Love
Ammu
