Sundays we usually go to church or attend online services ( Post - Covid era) but since we have just moved into the country and have not sorted a car yet, Sundays are just chilling at home. I decided to sleep in this morning as Appu was around to help with the girls morning routine. I did my first set of the Lego flowers - Common Daisy (picture above ) today. They turned out so beautiful. I enjoyed making it too. After I made breakfast, i had a long video call with my friends from Brunei. Keeping in touch, especially during these initial transition times, keep my soul alive. We shared our worries and joys and for that hour or more, nothing else mattered. We were there to hear each others stories.
Building and maintaining friendships is important for our mental and emotional well-being. To help develop and nurture friendships why don't you try some of these:
1. Be a good listener: Show genuine interest in your friends by actively listening to what they have to say. Ask follow-up questions and engage in meaningful conversations. This helps create a sense of trust and deepens the connection with your friends.
2. Show support and empathy: Be there for your friends during both good times and bad. Celebrate their successes and provide a listening ear and shoulder to lean on during difficult moments. Show empathy and validate their feelings.
3. Make time for your friends: Quality time is crucial for building and maintaining friendships. Prioritize spending time with your friends by scheduling regular get-togethers or outings. Consider their interests and plan activities that you can enjoy together.
4. Be reliable and trustworthy: Trust is the foundation of any healthy friendship. Be reliable and follow through on your commitments to your friends. Keep their confidences and be someone they can trust and rely on.
5. Be accepting and non-judgmental: Embrace your friends for who they are, without judgment or criticism. Accept and appreciate their unique qualities and differences. Celebrate their individuality and support their choices.
6. Show appreciation and gratitude: Express your gratitude and appreciation for your friends. Let them know how much they mean to you and how grateful you are to have them in your life. Small gestures of kindness and appreciation go a long way in strengthening friendships.
7. Resolve conflicts effectively: Disagreements and conflicts are normal in any relationship. When conflicts arise, approach them with open and respectful communication. Seek common ground and find solutions that work for both parties. Avoid holding grudges and work towards forgiveness.
8. Be yourself: Authenticity is important in building genuine friendships. Be true to yourself and let your friends see the real you. Don't try to be someone you're not or pretend to have interests or qualities that aren't true to who you are.
Remember, friendships require effort and nurturing. Be willing to invest time, energy, and care into your friendships, and they will flourish and bring joy and support to your life.

In the afternoon , before it got too dark outside, the girls and I decided to go out for a walk. We walked around the high street and later as it was too cold outside, decided to step into the mall nearby. It was warmer inside. We walked around for a while and then decided to go back home. On our way home, we passed by a coffee shop and decided to stop by for some hot chocolate and a slice of cake. The hot chocolate was perfect was the chilly weather outside and well the cake was gone in a few minutes right after this picture was clicked. LOL. Happy girls, happy Ammu. We returned back home, had our dinner and did our bedtime routine with the girls and got them to bed.
We had a happy Sunday
hope you guys did too
Love
Ammu
